Binjiang College of Zhejiang University of traditional Chinese medicine is an independent college of undergraduate level, which is established by Zhejiang University of traditional Chinese medicine in accordance with the new mechanism and new mode, using the existing high-quality education resources. In January 2000, with the approval of zhezhengfa [2000] No.4 document issued by the people's Government of Zhejiang Province, the college was officially established and began to recruit students in the autumn of the same year, which was listed in the third batch of enrollment plan of colleges and universities in Zhejiang Province. In November 2004, the college was approved by the Ministry of education.

The existing campus covers an area of 210 mu, and the building area of teaching and administrative rooms is 78215 square meters. Based on the needs of economic construction and social development in Zhejiang Province and guided by market demand, the college has set up 20 undergraduate majors in five disciplines, including medicine, management, science, engineering and arts. After seven years of construction, the college has initially formed the school running characteristics of "taking the market demand as the guidance, taking the mother resources as the support, taking the teaching quality as the life, and cultivating the applied talents adapting to the local economic and social development of Zhejiang".
