[plant morphology] Begonia Sanguinalis

Perennial herbs, 20-30 cm high. The rhizome is short and thick, with ring pattern, red cross section and fibrous roots. Root leaves 1-2, subrhombic, 10-15 cm long and 10-12 cm wide, upper 3-7-lobed, lobes triangular, base eccentric, margin pointed serrate, upper green, with very sparse short bristles, lower purplish; petiole smooth, base thick, 7-15 cm long; stipules membranous, smooth, brown, ovate lanceolate. The flowers are monoecious; the male perianth is 4 pieces, 2 inside and outside, the outer perianth is ovoid, the inner perianth is oblong, the stamens are 10-16, free; the female flower has 3 perianths, 1 inside and 2 outside, the outer perianth is wide ovoid, the inner perianth is ovoid or oblong, the ovary is spindle, 3 edges, and the style is 3 It's a piece. It's free. Capsule wingless. The flowering period is July.

It grows in shady rock crevices and valley bottoms.
