Perennial herbs, 25-50 cm high. Stem erect, cylindrical, densely covered with white short hairs. Basal leaves tufted, slightly rosette like, spatulate oblanceolate, 3-5 cm long, 7-10 mm wide, apex obtuse, base cuneate, tapering to petiole, entire. Both sides are densely covered with short coarse hairs; cauline leaves alternate, oblanceolate, tapering upward, apex pointed, base embracing. The inflorescence is 3-5, which is located on the top of the stem and arranged in corymbose shape. The peduncle is 2-6 cm long and has a bract at the base. The bract is 2-3 rows, hemispherical. The ligulate flower is female and 1 row, purple. Achene obovate, angulate, covered with white short hairs, corolla white. It blooms in autumn.

Born on the hillside. It is distributed in Yunnan and other places.
