[animal morphology] Xinggui (compendium), also known as Linggui (Erya), xinglingxing (Hanshu), zuixing (Hanshu yingshaozhu), YUANTUO (wudufu), Wanxia (jiaozhouji), flattery (compendium).

The body is more than 1 meter long. There are hard scales on the back and abdomen, symmetrical scales on the head and two pairs of scales on the forehead. The head is large and the maxilla is crooked. The dorsal surface is flat brown; the neck is short and wide; the spine has 6 scales, the sixth is the largest; the rib has 5 or 6 scales on each side, the first is the smallest, the third and fourth are large, and the fifth is generally associated with the sixth. When young, the back has 3 strong edges, but gradually does not show up after growing up. There are 11 marginal scales on each side and 1 pair of gluteal scales. The abdomen is yellow. The limbs are flat and leafy, with large forelimbs and small hind limbs, each with 2 claws on the inside. The tail is short.

It lives in warm and tropical seas. It feeds on fish, shrimps and crabs and distributes in the coastal areas of Fujian, Guangdong, Zhejiang and Jiangsu.
