Perennial herbs, 20-35 cm high. Stems erect, tetragonal, all pubescent. Leaves simple, opposite, leathery and scabrous, oblong ovate or oblong lanceolate, apex acuminate, base broadly cuneate, upper green, lower pale green, entire; leaves petiolate or subsessile.
