Evergreen shrubs or small trees, 4-10m high. Leaf blade thick leathery, elliptic, ovate or broadly ovate, 5-8 cm long and 3-5 cm wide, base usually broadly cuneate, apex acuminate or short tail pointed, glabrous above, glossy below, sparsely pilose below.
