Annual herb, 70-80 cm high. The stem is round, striated, slightly hairy, nodes swollen, single leaf opposite, herbaceous, ovoid or lanceolate, ovoid to lanceolate, 3-6.5 cm long, 1.5-4 cm wide, apex acuminate, base wide cuneate to round, green above, light green below, edge with shallow round teeth, basal three veins, veins concave above, convex below.
