The pods are zonal, flat, glabrous, with obvious reticular veins, 14-21 cm long and 4-5 cm wide, with several seeds. The flowering period is June. The fruiting period is August.

It grows in shrubs, forests and stone crevices on hillsides. It is distributed in Sichuan, Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangdong and other places.
