[source] it is the root tuber or stem leaf of Orchidaceae.

[plant morphology] it is also known as yufenghua and baihuacao.

Annual herb, 30-80 cm high. The roots are 2, coarser and shorter, ovate. Stem erect. Leaves alternate, leaf blade narrowly ovate, 6-12 cm long, 2-3 cm wide, apex acuminate, base cuneate; sessile amplexicaul, sheath shaped; glabrous on both sides. Flowers 3-5 sparsely, apex leaf axils, corolla white, diameter about 1.5 cm; outer perianth 3, 2, linear cunningly needle shaped, length 8 mm; labellum 3-lobed, length about 12 mm, width about 15 mm, middle lobe narrow, both sides lobes nearly semicircular, edge irregular fine teeth, distance from fold, end slightly thick, length about 4 cm; ovary lower end slightly larger. Capsule short angular. The seeds are numerous and small. It blooms in autumn.

Born on rocky hillsides. It is distributed in Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Anhui and southwest China.
