Its appearance is grayish yellow brown or reddish brown, rough, densely covered with oval spikes, which extend longitudinally. The spikes are laminar and difficult to peel off. Sometimes the spikes are ground off. The inner surface is reddish brown with parallel lines. It is tough, not easy to break, fibrous in cross section, with faint aroma and light taste.

It is produced in Guangxi and Guangdong.
