Liana woody with tendrils. The leaves are alternate and long petiole; the leaves are usually finger or interdigital, with 5-7 leaflets, sometimes 3 leaflets or simple leaflets; the leaflets are elliptic or obovate, 6-10 cm long, 2.5-4.5 cm wide, apex pointed, base cuneate, margin serrate. The flowers are small, heterozygous, axillary corymb like cymes; the top of petals is often pointed and widely spread; the disk is connate with the base of ovary; ovary is 2-locular, with 2 ovules in each locule; stigma is 4-lobed; berry is fleshy.

Born in shrubbery. It is distributed in Guizhou, Yunnan and other places.
