[plant morphology] Desmodium macrophyllum, also known as mung bean of gangeshan mountain.

Subshrub like herbs, up to 1.5 m high. Stem weak, slightly branched, pilose. Leaf simple, membranous or papery, oblong ovate or ovate, 5-13 cm long, 3.5-7 cm wide, apex short pointed, base round, covered with gray pilose below; petiole 1-2 cm long, covered with hairs; stipules linear conic, 8-10 mm long. Raceme axillary and terminal, 15-30 cm long; 2-6 flowers clustered, flower bundles scattered; petiole 2-5 mm long, densely hairy; bracts small, bristly; calyx about 2 mm long, coarsely hairy, calyx teeth lanceolate; corolla green white, about 3 mm long; ovary densely pilose. Pods dense, slightly curved, 1.2-2 cm long, 2 mm wide, with 7-9 pods, subglabrous or uncinate. The flowering period is from April to August.
