The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a decision on countermeasures against Canadian institutions and personnel, as follows.
Decision on taking countermeasures against Canadian institutions and personnel
(Announced by Order No. 15 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China on December 21, 2024, and effective from December 21, 2024)
According to Articles 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 15 of the Anti Foreign Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China, China has decided to take countermeasures against the following Canadian institutions and personnel (see attached countermeasures list for details):
It is prohibited for organizations and individuals within our country to engage in transactions, cooperation, and other activities related to it.
Prohibit organizations and individuals within our country from engaging in transactions, collaborations, and other activities related to themselves; The individual will not be issued a visa or allowed to enter (including Hong Kong and Macau).
This decision shall come into effect on December 21, 2024.
