Early experience
Li Xiangqin, formerly known as Li Ruiqin, was born in Shunde, Guangdong Province. Her father ran rice shops and banks in Macao. She grew up in Macao and enrolled in Liqun primary school. During the Anti Japanese War, when Hong Kong was occupied, many famous actors of Cantonese Opera came to Macao to perform. At that time, Li Xiangqin, who was in junior high school at the age of 14 or 5, was fond of Cantonese Opera since childhood. He fell in love with the famous actor Ren Jianhui and was determined to enter the opera industry. She has studied arts with xiaoyingying, Tan Xiuzhen and Lu Haitian. She has been in the opera business for more than two years and has been appreciated by Chen Jintang. She has cultivated her to become the fourth Huadan of "jintianhua opera company". At the age of 16, she formally set foot on the stage and was once known as "Er Bang Wang" (the first supporting actress in Cantonese Opera).

In 1989, Li Xiangqin immigrated to Australia. After that, he retired half a year. In his spare time, he returned to Hong Kong to make films and plays.
In January 2010, 78 year old Li Xiangqin filmed for 10 hours a day for four consecutive days. During this period, she fainted and fell in the face. She spent her birthday in the hospital. After a few days off, sister Qin returned to work, but her health was not as good as before, and she showed signs of fatigue from time to time.
In March 2011, it was reported that Li Xiangqin was suspected of suffering from brain degeneration, hearing and memory loss, and needed to go in and out in a wheelchair. She then took the initiative to clarify that she was not ill.

On January 25, 2021, the memorial service for Li Xiangqin, a veteran of TVB, was held in Hong Kong. Jackie Chan, Chow Yun fat, Koo Tien Lok, Stephen Chow, Ren Dahua and his wife, Huang Rihua, Lin Yi, Wan Ziliang, Chen Fala, etc. presented wreaths to express their grief. Precious photos of Li Xiangqin were shown at the memorial meeting.
