Ma Yongkang

Ma Yongkang

Ma Yongkang, a Chinese football player, was selected into Jianlibao team. After returning to China, he played for Qingdao team and was selected into the National Olympic team. He retired in early 2006, and later served as assistant coach of Qingdao team, assistant coach of Chinese women's football team and assistant coach of Chinese u22 men's football team.

On July 9, 2017, Wuhan Zhuoer Football Club officially announced that Ma Yongkang was appointed as assistant coach of the team.

Sports career

Since Ma Yongkang returned to Qingdao team from the disbanded Jianlibao team in 1998, he has been the main guard of Qingdao team and has never left QingDao football team. In 1999, Ma Yongkang was selected into Horton's National Olympic team and showed the quality of an excellent centre back in the game. Since 2000, Ma Yongkang has taken over the armband from veteran Chen Gang and served as the captain of Qingdao team. In the team, he was called the leader of the team by coach Yin Tiesheng. After the 2005 season, Ma Yongkang retired. Since then, Ma Yongkang has been studying the coaching course and got the B-level coaching certificate. He joined the Shanghai seven star team briefly in 2007. In 2009, at the invitation of his old friend Hao Wei, he served as assistant coach of Hunan National Games football team. on January 17, 2010, Zhongneng announced that Ma Yongkang had joined the Zhongneng coaching team as an assistant coach. He later served as the head coach of Qingdao Zhongneng U19 team. After Hao Wei joined the Chinese women's football team in 2012, he recruited Ma Yongkang to the team as an assistant coach. on September 20, 2016, the Chinese Football Association announced on its official website that China u22 National Men's football team will organize training and participate in warm-up matches from September 27 to October 10, 2016. Ma Yongkang is a member of the coaching team and a team leader. on July 9, 2017, Wuhan Zhuoer Football Club officially announced that Ma Yongkang was appointed as assistant coach of the team.
