Hu Zhiping

Hu Zhiping, male, Han nationality, was born in March 1965 in Jilin Province. He is currently a counsellor at the rank of minister of the Chinese Embassy in Japan.

Profile

He started work in August 1986 and graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies University with a bachelor's degree. From 1986 to 1990, he worked for the China Association for international exchange of education; from 1990 to 1991, he was deputy director (temporary post) of the Education Reform Commission of the Huolu County Education Commission of Hebei Province; from 1991 to 1992, he was director of the Japan program of the China Association for international exchange of education; from 1992 to 1996, he was third secretary and second secretary of the Education Department of the Chinese Embassy in Japan; from 1996 to 1998, he was deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Ministry of education; from 1998 to 2002, he was director of the international cooperation and Exchange Department of the Ministry of education Director of the overseas study office in China; first Secretary of the Education Department of the Chinese Embassy in Japan from 2002 to 2007; Department of international cooperation and exchange of the Ministry of education from 2007 to 2008; deputy director of the Chinese Affairs Office of the people's Republic of China and deputy director general of the Confucius Institute Headquarters in 2008; Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Chinese Affairs Office of the people's Republic of China (Confucius Institute Headquarters) in 2014; counsellor (deputy department level) of the Education Department of the Chinese Embassy in Japan from 2015 to 2019; Chinese Embassy in Japan from 2019 Minister counsellor (department level).

Appointment and removal

On December 26, 2014, the Party group meeting of the Ministry of Education decided that Comrade Hu Zhiping should be the Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Hanban (Confucius Institute Headquarters). according to the research and decision of the Party group of the Ministry of education, Hu Zhiping was appointed as minister counsellor (deputy department level) of the Education Department of the Chinese Embassy in Japan, and took up his post on December 16, 2015. In December 2019, Hu Zhiping was promoted to minister counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Japan.
