Taoist rock (Wushan Grottoes scenic spot)

Taoist rock cave is a part of Wushan Grottoes group. Taoist rock mountain is not only the grotto's stone wonder, but also the mountain's stone wonder. This mountain is also called dongshandong. Because there is a small temple on the mountain, we also have the custom of worshiping "master dongshandong" in the early morning of the lunar new year.

Wushan Grottoes (Buzhou Shenshan scenic spot) is located in Changjie Town, Ninghai County, Ningbo City, on the Bank of Sanmen Bay, adjacent to yuejingyang in the East and facing Xiangshan County across the sea. It is about 25 kilometers away from Ninghai County and only 100 kilometers away from Ningbo City. It is a bright pearl on the golden tourism line of eastern Zhejiang. Wushan grottoes are composed of songao mountain, daoshiyan mountain, Buzhou mountain, Congming mountain and Shilan mountain. These five mountains are located on the beach of the East China Sea. The stone materials collected by the ancients were transported by water and sold to various places. It is said that stone will harden at the sight of light and water, so the ancients usually climbed to the top of the mountain and opened a shaft to excavate stone. After hundreds of years of excavation in the song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, more than 800 pits were formed. Later, birds and animals brought plant seeds into the pits to breed, and the water in the caves became pools, which formed today's magnificent landscape.
