Liao Huan

Liao Huan (stage name: Master Dongshan), born in March 1983 in Luoding, Guangdong, China, grew up in Zhaoqing and became famous in Guangzhou. He studied folk songs in high school affiliated to Xinghai Conservatory of music. He graduated from the Department of social music of Xinghai Conservatory of music and studied under Luo Hong. Therefore, he is also Zhou Bichang's brother. In 2002, he won the most potential award in Guangzhou Yangcheng rookie singing competition. In 2004, he took part in Yangcheng rookie singing contest again and won the championship. He made his debut in 2006 and became famous for singing the album "sing Guangzhou well".

The origin of stage name

Liao Huan has a famous stage name called "Dongshan young master". This stage name comes from Huang Yicheng, his packaging man. Huang Yicheng, a native Guangzhou musician, feels that the young people around him know less and less about Guangzhou, and even many interesting words in Cantonese dialect are gradually forgotten. Therefore, he plans to sing Guangzhou well in a new generation way with authentic dialect. It took one year from the preparation to the official launch of the record "sing Guangzhou well". During this period, Huang Yicheng went to Xinghai Conservatory of music to find Liao Huan, who was a student at that time, and named him "master Dongshan" as his art name. The reason why he took the title of "master Dongshan" was not to attract attention, but to spread two very famous names for old Guangzhou: "master Dongshan" and "Miss Xiguan", Liao Huan The name "Dongshan master" is used as an artistic name. It has both a taste of Guangzhou and a recollection of Guangzhou people.

Acting experience

Liao Huan is a native of Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province, and naturally speaks fluent Cantonese. This is another reason why he was selected to produce the album "sing Guangzhou well". The original intention of the first album "sing Guangzhou well" is to "let Guangzhou people wake up their attention to Guangzhou culture by listening to songs". All the 10 songs in the album are authentic Cantonese songs. Liao Huan said: "I was very excited when I sang moonlight shining on Yangcheng, because the prototype of this song was also a nursery rhyme that my mother used to sing when I was a child to coax me to sleep. It was very natural and pleasant to sing, and also brought back many memories of myself." Liao Huan graduated from Xinghai Conservatory of music, and many of his classmates can sing. But when Huang Yicheng wanted to make an album about Guangzhou culture, he found him who had not graduated at that time. Liu Xinghai, one of the most outstanding graduates of Guangzhou Music Academy, has not even won the championship in 2004 in 2014, he participated in the competition of singing talent show "king of wheat", and finally won the final runner up and supreme Popularity Award.
