Introduction to Wujiagou folktales
Applicant: Danjiangkou City, Hubei Province
Wujiagou Village is an administrative village in Liuliping town in the west of Danjiangkou City, Hubei Province, adjacent to Danjiang Reservoir area. It is known as "jiugou, 18wa, 100dan, 8cha, there are people in the Chacha". Wujiagou has a wide range of stories with rich contents, which are divided into six categories: myth, legend, story, fable, fairy tale and joke. The first and second episodes of Wujiagou villagers' stories have been published, with a total of 760000 words. In the 1980s, more than 1000 folktales and more than 1000 folk songs were found in Wujiagou Village, so the village was named "folktale village" by relevant organizations.
Wujiagou folk story inheritance status is as famous as Geng Village in Hebei Province. The folk literature and art circles have the praise of "Geng Village in the north, Wujiagou Village in the South". Wujiagou, located in the fold of Wudang Mountain, is relatively closed, so there are many original works, such as the legend of Wudang Mountain, the legend of Chen Shimei and the legend about the native place, which are all unique local products. These legends have a long history, such as the myth of marriage between man and dog, which was first found in Wujiagou story, from which we can see the damage of wildfire and the situation of dog as totem in primitive society; digduangang conveys the information about reproduction worship; the legend of Li Zicheng's visit to Wudang Mountain area is unheard of by the outside world; although the scholar of Qin Dynasty died today is a contemporary work, it is full-bodied The traditional color of "tree ring" is a distinctive "tree ring" to understand the story development of the region. Wujiagou folk stories have a lively ecology. Some old people still regard fantasy stories such as "the ghost in linjiazhuang", "fox spirit steals chicken" and "the shell crushed after eating eggs" as real things. The storytellers are vivid and the listeners are full of interest. This makes the inheritance of these stories have a certain mass.
Although the story culture space of Wujiagou has been widely concerned by the society, and the relevant research results of some scholars have also been published, with the change of people's lifestyle and the diversity of cultural life, the social environment of Wujiagou folk stories has been strongly impacted. How to maintain the orderly development of this excellent national cultural space is a problem that must be considered by inheritors and all sectors of society.
