Henan Opera is one of the most important operas in China. It is also called "Henan Opera", "Henan high profile" and "Henan Acura". In the western mountainous area of Henan Province, it is also called "shoushanhou". During the reign of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty, it has become a very influential local opera in Henan Province, and has been handed down for more than 200 years.

Henan Opera is popular in many parts of the country, and Handan, Hebei Province, is one of its important popular areas. Henan opera has rich repertoire resources. There are nearly a thousand kinds of traditional repertoire, such as "three thousand in Tang Dynasty, eight hundred in Song Dynasty, endless singing of three or many countries", such as "chop", "sheep roll", "Liu Quanjin melon", "baopipa", "guilhuai", "hongxiashan", "dajizhuang", "borrow wife", "Hongniang", "Huamulan", "Mu Guiying in command", "duhuagun", "Tang opera" Zhixian shengaoming is one of the representative plays, which is popular on the stage.
