Dingkundan is a gynecological comprehensive treatment preparation. It is one of the treasures of gynecological preparations of traditional Chinese medicine in Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty. It belongs to the state-level secret prescription of "not prepared by ancient prescription, but not passed on".

According to the records, in 1739, the Imperial College Hospital compiled "the golden mirror of Yizong", which was compiled by famous doctors from all over the country. According to the prescription of "BUJING Decoction" in Zhulin Temple monk's "Zhulin women's Department of syndrome and treatment", the imperial doctors quickly drew up a prescription and applied it to clinical practice, which proved to be effective. It is named "dingkundan", which means "kungong can be stabilized" and is used by the inner court. Later, the prescription of dingkundan fell into Guangsheng drugstore, the predecessor of guangyuyuan, and passed down as a unique product of Shanxi.

The main raw materials of dingkundan are: ginseng, pilose antler, Angelica sinensis, rehmannia, Amomum villosum, safflower, Panax notoginseng, Yuzhu, Xiangfu, donkey hide gelatin, wulingzhi, Yuanhu, etc., with a total of more than 20 kinds of precious Chinese medicinal materials. It has the functions of tonifying blood, collecting blood, regulating menstruation, tranquilizing fetus, relieving depression, softening liver, relieving pain, relieving stasis, relaxing Qi, harmonizing stomach and invigorating spleen. The selection of materials is rare, the compatibility is precise, and the treatment range is quite wide. Besides the effect of regulating menstruation and activating blood circulation, it also has the functions of Invigorating Qi and generating blood, soothing liver and relieving depression, relieving pain, stopping bleeding, and enhancing immune function.
