Hejiang Street

Hejiang street is located in the middle of shigu District, Hengyang City, Hunan Province. It connects Wuyi street in the south, Wuyi market in the East, 107 National Highway in the East, Pine Industrial Park in the north and Leishui intersection of Xiangjiang River in the East. Located at the junction of the city and suburb, it is a chemical industrial zone. It covers an area of 8.5 square kilometers and has a total population of 25312 (2010). It has jurisdiction over 8 communities and 3 administrative villages. The government office is located on Wuyi Road.

Street profile

In 1988, Wuyi street was set up as Hejiang street. In 1996, with an area of 3 square kilometers and a population of 15000, the office is located in Wuyi Road, and has jurisdiction over 11 neighborhood committees including Xiangdong, Tuanjie, Hejiang Road, Tongxin Road, Henghua, Hejiang new village, Wuyi new village, qilijing, Wulipai, baishushao and Yuefeng porcelain factory. In 2001, the former North District of the city was put under the jurisdiction of shigu District, and was divided into three villages of Wuyi, Youai and Jiangxia in Xihu township. In 2004, it has jurisdiction over seven communities including Hejiang Road, Tongxin Road, Hejiang village, baishuzui, qilijing, Wulipai and Jiangyan, and three administrative villages including Wuyi, Youai and Jiangxia.

Honors

On July 29, 2020, it was named as the National Health township (county) of 2017-2019 cycle by the National Patriotic Health Campaign Committee.
