Hulu Township

Hulu township is located in the southeast of Dachuan District, 52 kilometers away from the urban area of Dazhou city. It borders on Anren Township and Kaijiang Baiyang Township in the East, Jing'an Township in Kaijiang in the south, Wanjia town and datan Township in the west, Maliu town in the north, and Mingyue River, Dawan Railway and Dawan highway pass through it. It is known as the South Gate of Dachuan district. The township governs 8 administrative villages, 56 villager groups and 1 community, covering an area of 28.49 square kilometers, with a total population of 4806 people (2017), and cultivated land area of 4617 mu. It mainly produces rice, wheat and corn, and its economic crops are mainly rose tangerine. It is the production base of rose tangerine in the county. In 2005, the per capita income of farmers was 2912 yuan.
