Chentang Sherpa song and dance is a kind of self entertainment folk collective song and dance with a long history and deeply loved by Sherpa people in Chentang Town, Dingjie county.

Most of the participants were women. When singing and dancing, people put their waist and arms together to form a circle or a half circle. At the beginning, the dance begins with gentle singing and dancing, and then moves around with the melody of adagio, and then gradually accelerates to the middle board dance, followed by the Allegro. At this moment, with the cries of the dancers, the dance steps into the climax, and finally ends in a cheerful and warm atmosphere.

Every time when singing and dancing, women have to dress up: wearing a black "Bala", a hat decorated with flowers and peacock feathers, a necklace with more than 200 silver rings around their neck, six small silver strings on their chest, a silver belt around their waist, a big white conch on their wrist, a "long" (gold earrings) on their ears, and a "Ga Wu" (gold and silver ornaments) on their chest When dancing, these jewels glitter and tinkle, which is very moving.
