A brief introduction to the art of the Jing people's single stringed instrument:
Applicant: Dongxing City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region
As a traditional instrumental music art owned by the Jing people, the art of single string Qin is mainly distributed in the Jing inhabited areas of Dongxing City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, including Wutou, Shanxin and wanwei Islands (commonly known as "the three Jing islands") in Jiangping town of Dongxing City and nearby villages such as Tanji, Zhushan, hongkan, hengwang and MILOU.
Since 1511, the ancestors of the Jing nationality have moved from Vietnam to the present settlements. In the process of nearly 500 years of historical development, although the Jing nationality has been influenced by the culture of the Han and Zhuang nationalities, its solo playing art has always maintained a relatively strong national characteristics.
The art of the Jing people's single stringed instrument mainly includes the production technique and performance art of the instrument.
Because of the different materials, the Jing people's single string Qin can be divided into bamboo and wood. Since the 1950s, in addition to the original long box shape, the Jing people's single string Qin has also added long strip shape and dragon head shape. On the surface of the Qin, the overtone position is marked like that of the ancient Qin. Some of them have added wooden fingerboards with 16 grades embedded in them, which can quickly play overtones and enrich the playing skills.
Sitting and standing posture are adopted to play the solo. When playing, the piano is usually placed horizontally on the table, shelf or legs, or the tail is placed on the leg, the head is placed on the ground or shelf, the right hand holds the stick or bamboo stick to play, the left hand holds the rocker, and the tension of the string and the length of the string are changed by pushing and pulling to obtain different pitches.
The performance skills of the Jing people's solo are very rich, and the common playing methods include the direct playing method, the rebound method, the scraping playing method, the striking playing method, the point playing method, etc.
In the long-term development process, the art of Jing Nationality's solo has formed the main characteristics of long history, profundity, diversity of forms, richness of repertoire and uniqueness of art. It has unique historical value, distinct artistic value and diversified academic value. It is an important link of national identity and an important carrier of cultural exchange.
