Brief introduction of Jizhong Sheng wind music (Gaoqiao concert)
Applicant: Bazhou City, Hebei Province
Jizhong Sheng wind music is popular in Jizhong plain, that is, nearly 30 counties and cities south of Beijing, west of Tianjin, north of Cangzhou and Dingzhou. It is commonly known as "concert". It is also known as "Sheng wind music" because it mainly uses pipe to lead, Sheng, etc. In addition to Sheng and wind instruments, there are also cloud Gong, flute and percussion instruments, such as drum, cymbal, cymbal and Dangdang. Music is divided into three categories: Suite, ditty and independent percussion. The length of the divertimento is long and the structure is complex, which is the main part of "Sheng guanyue". "Sheng Guan Yue" is all over the central Hebei plain. Farmers from all over the country take the village as a unit to perform in local folk activities such as sacrifice, etiquette, funeral and so on.
"Gaoqiao Village Music" is a kind of percussion music passed by monks. It is said that it evolved from the Buddhist music passed by monk Guangda, a musician in Zhengding Dawang Temple who traveled here in the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. The performance was led by Guan Zi, with three monks chanting sutras and 12 musicians playing.
Gaoqiao village concert is inherited by the family. Since its birth, Shang was the main musician. Shangjia is not only proficient in "Dian Sheng" for generations, but also familiar with the ancient rhythm, which to a large extent ensures that the music of Gaoqiao village has been handed down for a long time.
Gaoqiao village music belongs to the local "North music" (also known as "Jing"), which is different from the "South Music" (commonly known as "Hui") that the secular people entertain themselves. The shape of musical instruments in North China is smaller, the music rhythm is faster, and the costumes of musicians are also different from those in South China.
There are three original music scores of Gaoqiao village music, but now only one is left, which contains 47 pieces of music. Now musicians can only play more than 20 of them, among which several pieces such as "jintangyue" are unique to Gaoqiao village concert.
The ancient music in Gaoqiao village has well preserved the original style and features of folk percussion music. At the same time, Gaoqiao village music contains local folk music elements, with the imprint of regional culture, which has a certain reference value for the study of the integration and infiltration of Buddhist music and local folk music.
