Introduction to Mongolian Sihu Music:
Applicant: Inner Mongolia- space:normal; "> Tongliao City
The Mongolian Sihu in Tongliao City is called "Houle", "huwuer" and "HuR" in Mongolian, and it is called "Violin" in the later edition of lvzhengyi compiled by Kangxi Dynasty. Mongolian Sihu is one of the most Mongolian musical instruments, which can be divided into three categories: high pitch Sihu, medium pitch Sihu and low pitch Sihu. The high tone of Sihu is bright and crisp, which is mostly used for Solo, ensemble and ensemble; the middle and low tone of Sihu is rich and mellow, which is good at playing lyric music, and is mainly accompanied by huliger and Horeb, the Horqin national rap art. They play a very important role in the cultural life of the Mongolian people. The representative repertoire of Mongolian Sihu includes "Gan Lu", "Ba Yin", "aser" (the above is big Sihu), "modlema", "winding grapevine", "He Ying Hua" (the above is small Sihu), etc. Mongolian Sihu culture is rich in accumulation, rich in expression, self-contained skills, melodious and simple. It is an outstanding musical creation of the Mongolian people who are engaged in semi farming and semi pastoral production mode. It has high academic research value in Mongolian history, culturology, folklore, cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
After the Yuan Dynasty, the art of Sihu was widely spread, once popular in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang and North China and other Han inhabited areas, which had a profound impact on Han folk rap. Tongliao City, located in the hinterland of Horqin grassland, is the most prosperous area of Sihu art at present.
