Brief introduction of Luoba Costumes:
Applicant: Milin County, Tibet Autonomous Region
Luoba costumes are made of local cloth woven with plant fibers such as "Danu" (Daphne odora bark), mostly black, red or white. When a man is wearing, he puts a strip across his back, and the corner of the clothes is placed on his left shoulder. Then he wraps around his body from left to right arm, and connects with the corner of the shoulder on his right chest, so as to expose the shoulder and arm. Then he folds the lower part of the clothes to the knee, and uses a bamboo needle instead of a button to fasten the belt. This kind of dress without collar, sleeve and pocket is the only coat that Luoba people wear all the year round. Men and women, young and old wear it on their bodies during the day and take it off as a quilt at night.
Because the Luoba people live in the wild for a long time and have no fixed residence, women's clothes are also used to hold food and articles, and children can be put in clothes when they go out. There are three types of rattan hat, Boba, Gaga and hengba. Women are barefoot all the year round, and some men wear boots made of hemp or wool. Earrings, necklaces and bracelets are common daily ornaments for men and women.
The clothing of the Luoba nationality is closely related to the long-term gathering and hunting activities of the Luoba nationality and the local climate conditions. It is not only the crystallization of the wisdom of the Luoba people, but also the epitome of the social development of the Luoba nationality. It keeps the national characteristics, natural and true, beautiful and generous, and satisfies the love of beauty of Loba people.
