Applicant: Ningde City, Fujian Province
She nationality is a member of China's multi-ethnic family, which is distributed in some mountainous areas of more than 60 counties and cities in Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Guangdong and Anhui provinces. Eastern Fujian and southern Zhejiang are the main settlements of She nationality.
She nationality has a long history. The word "she", meaning "slash and burn cultivation", was used as a national name in the late Southern Song Dynasty. Since the Yuan Dynasty, "she people", as the exclusive name of She people, have generally appeared in Chinese historical books. At the latest in the 7th century, She nationality had settled in the border area of Fujian, Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces.
She nationality has its own customs and language. Singing folk songs is a main activity form of She people's cultural life. Folk song is an important means and tool for she people to teach history, culture, production, life and other social knowledge and carry out cultural and recreational activities. Singing folk songs has become an indispensable part of the She people's cultural life. Most of them are good at singing, no matter men or women, old or young, and have formed some unique folk songs. The main folk songs are love songs in the way of blocking the way, visitors "being more talented than the belly", "being a cousin", "being a uncle in law" and so on. The main song festivals include niushigang Song Festival in SUDI mountain in Muyang area of Fu'an in April of the lunar calendar, Baiyun Mountain Song Festival in Liuyang area of Fu'an on the first day of June, Baiyun Mountain Song Festival in Shekou and yingkeng area of Fu'an on the seventh day of July, Song Festival in Chengguan town of Fu'an on the 15th of August, mayangmulian Mountain Song Festival in Xiapu and Geyun Mountain Song Festival in Xinan on the ninth day of September.
She folk songs can be roughly divided into narrative songs (including myths and legends songs and novel songs), miscellaneous songs (including love, working life, imparting knowledge, ethics, entertainment life, etc.), ritual songs (including wedding ceremony songs, ancestor worship songs, merit songs, etc.).
The tunes of she folk songs can be roughly divided into two categories: folk songs and Shigong tunes. Folk tunes include Funing tune, Fuding tune, Xiapu tune, Luolian tune, Lishui tune, Jingning tune, Longquan tune, Wencheng tune, etc. Shigong tune includes recitation and singing with public morality.
She folk songs mostly use falsetto to sing. According to different singing methods, there are three kinds of changes: flat tone, falsetto and high tone. In Qidu, Badu, Jiudu and other places in the north of Ningde, Fujian Province, there is also a "double tone" singing form. The two men and women sing with the same lyrics, and the relationship between the tunes is divided into three types: supporting, imitating or harmonizing. This kind of singing form was popular for a period of time, and the representative repertoire was "wind blowing bamboo leaf tail titi". It is now in danger and in urgent need of rescue.
