Since the late Ming Dynasty and the early Qing Dynasty, Xibo nationality was incorporated into the eight banners of Manchuria, its embroidery was influenced by the embroidery skills of Manchu and Han nationality; in the Qing Dynasty, after Xibo nationality moved westward to Yili area of Xinjiang, its embroidery technology was influenced by the embroidery of Uygur, Kazak, Russian and other nationalities, thus achieving new regional characteristics.
The good and bad of embroidery is one of the important standards to measure the character and ability of Xibo women. Married women also want to embroider a well-designed cigarette pocket for their husband, with more auspicious patterns.
