Huanggang willow weaving is distributed in Huanggang town and its surrounding areas of Funan County, Anhui Province. It is the main sideline of local farmers. There is also a popular saying that "making baskets to support the family".

Huanggang and its surrounding areas are densely covered with rivers and lakes, and Salix is wet and easy to grow. In the early Qing Dynasty, the folk woven willow boxes, baskets, baskets, Sheng, Dou, dustpan, Luo and other products were generous in style, strong and durable. They were shipped to Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other commercial ports for sale. Since modern times, Huanggang has held temple fairs every March 28 of the lunar calendar. The trade of raw materials and products of willow weaving at the temple fairs is prosperous. It is a well-known willow weaving product distribution center. Since the 1950s, "Huanggang willow material exchange meeting" has been held every year, which has promoted the development of willow weaving technology.

Huanggang willow products are hand-made, and the production process is complex. They are basically made at one time, from the top of the warp, the bottom of the plate to the end of the mouth and the edge. Even the beam sticks and molds with special uses are also made by weaving. Woven products include plates for bread, fruit and sugar, bookshelves for books and newspapers, vases and flower racks for flowers, which are widely used in all aspects of life. There are not only pure and flawless light bar weaving, but also colorful color weaving, with fine workmanship, tight structure, round shape and durable.
