Introduction to bamboo weaving (porcelain body bamboo weaving)
Applicant: Qionglai City, Sichuan Province
Bamboo weaving with porcelain body, also known as "bamboo thread porcelain", is a folk handicraft popular in Qionglai City, Sichuan Province. Pingle town of Qionglai city is rich in Neosinocalamus affinis, which is the main raw material of porcelain body bamboo weaving. Sichuan bamboo weaving originated from utensils of Han Dynasty. After entering the Qing Dynasty, Bashu craftsmen began to weave bamboo weaving on tin pots. Later, due to the shortage of raw materials for tin pot, porcelain was used as the carrier, and the finished product was more beautiful than tin pot bamboo weaving, which was welcomed by people, thus forming porcelain body bamboo weaving.
The bamboo weaving process of porcelain body is complicated. Firstly, bamboo is selected, scraped, broken and dyed into bamboo pieces. Then, the bamboo is processed into silk through more than ten processes, such as material selection, baking, sawing, thinning, fixing, scraping, punch, kneading, pumping and dyeing. Then, the bamboo is tightly fastened to the porcelain body of Jingdezhen white porcelain, and woven in the way of picking and pressing, which includes bottom lifting, bottom turning, top turning and mouth locking. In order to keep the ratio of warp and weft of bamboo yarn evenly woven on the surface of white porcelain, it is required that no silk head is exposed, no silk lines are formed or folded.
Bamboo weaving with porcelain body has excellent material and strong practicability, which is widely used in daily life. On the one hand, it can protect the utensils, on the other hand, it has the function of decoration. Bamboo weaving with porcelain body has various styles and rich regional characteristics, which is favored by local residents.
With the development of market economy, it is more and more difficult to inherit bamboo weaving with porcelain body. Its added value is not high, and the technical requirements are very strict. At present, the number of people who can master the whole process of bamboo weaving with porcelain body has been reduced from 300 or 400 to 30. If they are not rescued and protected in time, bamboo weaving with porcelain body will gradually disappear from people's life.
