Introduction to the eldest son's drum script:
Applicant: Zhangzi County, Shanxi Province
Zhangzi Gushu is a form of Quyi storytelling, which was formed in Zhangzi County, Changzhi City, Shanxi Province. The form of performance is rap and singing, mainly singing, and the dialect performance around the eldest son is adopted. Most of the performances are usually accompanied by single person percussion drum and simple board and self playing erhu. Later, there are also performances in which two or more people hold different accompaniment instruments to cooperate with rap. Since the middle of the 20th century, in addition to the old artists, they have mostly performed in Local Mandarin; the singing style is banqiang, mainly including liushuiban, shubanban, Duoban, Beiban, etc.; besides Shugu, Jianban and erhu, the accompaniment instruments are bamboo board, Banhu, low Hu, etc. The style of accompaniment is interlude, that is, there is no accompaniment when singing. In addition, instrumental music card is used for "naochang" performance before the book is opened. In the 1980s, electroacoustic instruments, accordions, gongs, cymbals and other musical instruments were added for the performance of "noisy stage" before the performance and the accompaniment of Bangzi and Luozi in the singing. The traditional programs are mainly medium and long ones, such as the story of gold bracelet and jade ring, the case of Baogong, the case of Xugong, the case of Shigong, the case of Haigong, the story of Huibei, the story of Huilong, the story of baiyulinou, etc. Since the Anti Japanese War, the newly edited and performed programs are mainly short stories, such as "wind and thunder", "Xiao erhei's marriage", "sister Jiang" and "Fire King Kong".
The eldest son Gushu has a glorious artistic tradition. Especially during the Anti Japanese War, the Anti Japanese propaganda team mainly composed of the eldest son drummer was very active in Southeast Shanxi. Since the founding of the people's Republic of China, the Changzi County folk art team has been active in both urban and rural areas of the county, performing for the common people all the year round.
However, with the accelerating process of modernization, the survival and development of the eldest son's Gushu are facing great difficulties: the artists are not in good time, the performance market is shrinking, and the heritage is seriously lost, which is in urgent need of rescue and protection.
