Tujia Wedding lament is a long narrative and lyric song sung by Tujia women in wedding ceremony. Crying wedding songs are popular in the Tujia inhabited areas in Hunan, Hubei, Chongqing, Guizhou and other provinces, and Guzhang County in Western Hunan is one of the main areas where crying wedding songs are sung in Tujia language.

Tujia people's weeping marriage songs have a long history. After the reform of Tujia Nationality in Qing Dynasty, "Xing Kui" and "Kufa" became popular as the main contents of Tujia marriage customs. Many of Zhuzhici written by poets in Qing Dynasty are the evidence of the popularity of this custom.

In Guzhang, the singing of Tujia's weeping marriage songs consists of five procedures: weeping voice, weeping parents, weeping brothers and sisters, weeping sisters and weeping relatives.
