Lushi paper-cut is popular in Lushi County, Henan Province, and occupies a unique position in Henan folk paper-cut and folk culture. Lushi County, located in the western border of Henan Province, is an important birthplace of Heluo culture. Influenced by the culture of the Yangtze River and the Yellow River, Lu's paper-cut has formed two different styles, one is rough and plain, the other is smooth and euphemistic.

Lu's paper-cut is a typical representative of Lu's folk culture. The cultural information it contains has long been integrated into the soul of local people, affecting all aspects of folk life and people's values and aesthetic orientation. In this sense, Lu's paper-cut is the first-hand material to understand the local people's thoughts, feelings and living conditions. It provides an important reference for the study of Lu's history and folk culture. At present, there are only more than 60 folk artists in Lu's paper-cut art, and there is no successor. The future development of Lu's paper-cut is extremely worrying.
