Introduction to xinyiquan
Applicant: Qi County, Shanxi Province
Xinyi boxing, also known as "Xinyi liuhequan", is a kind of traditional Wushu. According to the research, this boxing was created by JiJi of Shanxi Province in the late Ming Dynasty.
During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, Dai Longbang in Xiaohan village of Qi County, Shanxi Province, devoted himself to study and spread to the clansmen and disciples, which promoted the inheritance and improvement of Xinyi liuhequan. The Xinyi boxing handed down by Dai Shi includes both unarmed boxing and instrument practice. In the unarmed practice, it is based on the practice of standing Dan style. The characteristics of boxing practice are: pushing from the inside to the outside, taking the root with the tip; using the round configuration to attack and defend freely; combining hardness with softness, accumulating softness into hardness; being simple and practical. Its attack function is full of strength and vigor, steady and powerful; inside and outside are in one, vigorous and fierce; up and down are hit, everywhere is hit. Its fitness value lies in guiding the internal Qi, relaxing the muscles and activating the collaterals, and practicing the balance between left and right.
Dai Longbang once founded Guangsheng escort agency. In the process of escorting merchants, he not only played the offensive and defensive value of martial arts, but also promoted the development and improvement of Xinyi liuhequan offensive and defensive techniques.
Through the efforts of successive generations, Dai Longbang's Xinyi boxing has been well developed. On the basis of Xinyi liuhequan, Li luoneng, the successor of Xinyi liuhequan, created Xingyi Quan, which is now widely spread. In order to distinguish Dai Longbang's Xin Yi Quan from Xing Yi Quan and other Xin Yi Quan, today's practitioners call Dai Longbang's Xin Yi Quan as "Dai Shi Xin Yi Quan" or "Dai Shi Xin Yi Quan".
