There are many kinds of Mongolian traditional chess and card games. At present, there are more than ten kinds of Mongolian chess, Bugu, jirige, tamuyingqiaoji, harichagaiaonisu, zagudahu, shagai, noribu and so on. Mongolian chess, the representative of Mongolian traditional chess and card game culture, has a long history and occupies an important position in the cultural treasure house of the frontier ethnic areas of the motherland. It is the most representative chess game formed by the ancient ethnic minorities in the northern Mongolian Plateau in the long-term mobile life and war. It has spread in some Sumu towns and ethnic schools in Alxa League.

Mongolian chess board is 8 times 8 square, divided into black and white or black and red. There are 32 pieces, including one master, one lion, two camels, two horses, two carts and eight children. They are called "nuoyan", "brys", "Temo", "Maori", "terige" and "Huben" in Mongolian. The board, chess pieces and playing method of Mongolian chess are similar to those of international chess.

The ancient Chinese chess game can not only develop and exercise the wisdom of the people, but also has a strong entertainment. Mongolian chess is not customized and has strong flexibility. At present, many of the contents left over from the early stage have gradually withdrawn from the historical stage and are in urgent need of protection.
