Introduction to Meihu tune:
Applicant: Huxian County, Shaanxi Province
Huxian Quzi of Shaanxi Province is mainly distributed in Huxian and Meixian. It originated in Zhengde period of Ming Dynasty and formed in the early Qing Dynasty. It has a history of more than 300 years.
Huxian Quzi is performed in the form of Qingqu sitting and singing. The actors do not make up. It is commonly known as "ditanzi". It is often performed in festivals, temple fairs, weddings and funerals. When singing, Sanxian is the main accompaniment instrument, Banhu, dizi, siyewa and Bangling are auxiliary instruments, and sometimes dishes are added.
The singing music of Huxian Quzi belongs to the combination of Qupai, including 36 major and 72 minor. The major is old, the structure is complex, the melody is full of changes, the tune is long and euphemistic, and the singing is difficult; the minor is mostly folk songs, the structure is short, and the melody is smooth. When Huxian tunes are sung, they often choose some tunes corresponding to the music mood according to the content, and then combine these tunes organically, so that they can completely express the psychological process of a scene or character. For example, "Wugeng bird" uses nine tunes, such as "Yuediao", "manwugeng", "gangdiao" and "xiswing", and "Baixi Tu" further uses "Yuediao" 】There are 11 tunes, such as silver, new silk and Laozi. The couplet of divertimento has its own rules, which are flexible and rigorous. For example, the starting tune is "Yuediao", and the ending still needs to use "Yuediao"; the starting tune is "Beiwei", and the falling tail is also "Beiwei", and so on.
There are more than 150 kinds of Huxian Quzi's traditional repertoire, such as "the nun becomes a monk", "the widow examines the field", "Qin Qiong observes the array", "Wang Aung Ding jar" and "sacrifice to the spirit in Yanta Temple". According to its subject matter, it can be divided into five categories: custom, romance, legend, supernatural and opening ditty. At present, the inheritance of Huxian Quzi is facing difficulties, and it is in urgent need of active support and protection.
