Dongshan song is a kind of folk art storytelling form formed after the introduction of Guangdong Chaozhou song into Dongshan, Fujian Province. It is commonly known as "singing book" among the people. In the process of singing, the artistic factors and tunes of Nanyin and other local music have been integrated, which has Dongshan local characteristics.

The performance form of Dongshan song is a long rhymed narrative "song book" sung by one person according to the book. The content of the program is storytelling, the words are simple, the lyrics rhyme smoothly, and the singing rhythm is stable.
