Brief introduction to Dagu darengley bid:
Applicant: Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province
Dagu darenglebiao is a folk creation myth epic of the De'ang Nationality. It is popular in Dehong Dai Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture in the west of Yunnan Province, lujiangba Township in Longyang District of Baoshan City, zhenkang, Gengma, Yongde and Shuangjiang counties in Lincang City in the southwest, and Shan and wa states in Myanmar. Dagu darengleibiao is the natural product of plant worship (tea God) of the ancestors of De'ang Nationality, and it is "a collective tribal story". After about the 14th century, the artists of De'ang Nationality sorted out and recorded the ancient epic with Dai characters, so that the ancient epic could be spread and inherited in the form of Dai script and oral transmission at the same time.
The original Dai manuscript, about 2000 lines long, is composed of six parts: "preface song", "tea God came down to earth to give birth to mankind", "the struggle between light and darkness", "overcoming floods and evil forces", "the origin of flowers and fruits and the origin of waist hoops" and "the birth of ancestors and the reproduction of various nationalities". The epic mainly tells about the birth and development of the De'ang Nationality, and the hard history of the tenacious struggle between the De'ang people and the nature, revealing the long tea culture of the De'ang Nationality and the historical origin of its appellation of "ancient tea farmer".
Dagu darengleibiao is the history in the heart of De'ang Nationality, which plays an important role in guiding people's behavior norms, embodies the national spirit and humanistic thought of De'ang Nationality, and has research value in history, culture, folklore and ethics. Because of its relatively fragile inheritance chain, it is in urgent need of protection.
