Introduction to Daxian Opera

Daxianzi opera, also known as daxianzi opera, mainly spread in Southwest Shandong, Eastern Henan and Southern Hebei, with a history of more than 500 years. It belongs to the string vocal system, which is formed on the basis of yuan and Ming folk music Xiaoling.

Daxian opera has its own characteristics in music structure, performance style and so on. It has more than 300 pieces of tunes, but there are still more than 200 pieces. It has strict and standard structure, rich and varied modes, euphemistic tunes and complete passages. In the study of northern opera music and Yuan Sanqu since Yuan and Ming Dynasties, these Qupai have important reference value. The performance of Daxian opera is rich in program, pays attention to skills, and its action is rough and fierce with exaggerated posture. The Kungfu of martial arts absorbed the body method of dahongquan and used real swords and guns; the Wenxi was delicate and elegant, showing distinctive local characteristics.

There are more than 300 kinds of traditional plays in Daxian opera, most of which are based on historical stories and folklore. Among them, Shiyu Dianjiang and Baogong's private visit to Huazhou are rare.
