Pan'anhu Street

Pan'anhu street is located in the eastern suburb of Xuzhou City and southwest of Jiawang District, and it is named after pan'anhu National Wetland Park. It is adjacent to Xuzhou Industrial Park and qingshanquan town in the north, Dawu street in Jiawang District in the East, and Dahuangshan street in Xuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone in the southwest. It covers an area of 25.8 square kilometers and has a population of 18000. It has jurisdiction over two community neighborhood committees of Wadian and xiduangzhuang, and four villages of Pan'an, Huangli, Mazhuang and Quantai. Its sub district office is located at No. 45, handuan road.

In December 2019, pan'anhu street was selected as "civilized township of Jiangsu Province in 2016-2018".

In August 2013, Jiangsu Province approved the administrative division adjustment of Jiawang District in Xuzhou City, and established pan'anhu street in Jiawang District. It has jurisdiction over three village committees of Quantai, Huangli and Pan'an in Dawu Town, two neighborhood committees of Wadian and xiduanzhuang, and Mazhuang village committee in qingshanquan Town, with an area of 25.8 square kilometers and a population of 18000. It is located at No. 45, handuan road. Pan'anhu ecological economic zone is located in the southwest of Jiawang, in the middle of the main urban area of Xuzhou and the urban area of Jiawang, about 18 km away from both places. It's about 10 minutes' drive from Xuzhou station of Beijing Shanghai high speed railway, with prominent location and transportation advantages.

Historical evolution

Pan'anhu Street originally belonged to Dawu town and qingshanquan town of Jiawang District.

From the Qin Dynasty to the middle Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to Pengcheng county;

In the late Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to Wuanzhou;

From Ming Dynasty to early Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Xuzhou;

In 1733 (the 11th year of Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty), Xuzhou was promoted to be a prefecture, and now pan'anhu street belongs to Tongshan County;

In 1993, seven towns including Dawu town and qingshanquan town were transferred to Jiawang District. In August 2013, the administrative division of Jiawang District was adjusted. The original Wadian community, xiduanzhuang community, Pan'an village, Quantai village and Huangli village of Dawu town and Mazhuang village of qingshanquan town were merged to establish pan'anhu street.

Pan'an Lake National Wetland Park

Pan'anhu National Wetland Park is located in pan'anhu street. It was named after Pan'an, a beautiful man of Jin Dynasty, who stayed here when he toured Xuzhou landscape. Jiawang District plans to build the area into a leisure park integrating lakes, wetlands and rural farmhouses to create a new environment

Mazhuang Chinese Folk Culture Village

Mazhuang village is located on the Bank of Pan'an Lake in Jiawang District of Xuzhou City. It is a "Chinese folk culture village". It has formed a well-off demonstration village of "never closing the door at night, never finding anything on the road, being happy and peaceful, rich and civilized". It has built a multi-function hall, honor room, painting and Calligraphy Academy, farmers' Cultural Square, hanging fishing center, seedling basin garden, agricultural interest hall, comprehensive activity center, holiday villa, etc. Mazhuang village folk activities include: Farmers' sports meeting, cool party, folk culture and art performance, etc. the village farmyard is neat and standard.
