Tanjiang is located in the southeast of Shaoyang City. In January 2017, Tanjiang street was set up separately from Chengnan street.

Evolution of organizational system

In November 2015, Daxiang district of Shaoyang City abolished the organizational system of Tanjiang Township and merged it into Chengnan street. The former Chengnan Street office was set up, which governs 12 communities such as Shentan and Baizhou, and 18 organizational villages such as Tanjiang and Zengqiao.

In January 2017, Tanjiang street was set up separately from Chengnan street.

The main agricultural industrialization projects include Dongfeng space lotus base, Xintang Huahai, etc. Large scale industrial projects include Xiangshang Industrial Park, hengchong Industrial Park, Duotian Food City, Lvxiang logistics distribution center, etc.
