Jinze town

Jinze town is located in the southwest of Qingpu District, Shanghai. It is the west gate for Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces to enter Shanghai. It is also the only town in Shanghai bordering Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. The total area of Jinze town is 108.42 square kilometers. By the end of 2017, there were 53629 permanent residents.

Jinze town has municipal intangible cultural heritage "Shangta xuanjuan" and "Shangta APU tea". The temple fair on the 28th of March and the 9th of September is the characteristic folk custom of Jinze.

With convenient water and land transportation, Jinze town is an important transportation hub of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, rich in resources. It has Dianshan Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Shanghai, and is an important aquatic product supply base in Shanghai. Jinze town is known as "primary air and secondary water".

Evolution of organizational system

In 978, Jinze was located in Huating County, Xiuzhou, West Zhejiang Road.

In the first year of Jianyan (1127) of the Southern Song Dynasty, Huating county was under the jurisdiction of Jiaxing Prefecture and Jinze Prefecture.

In 1279, Zhejiang Province and Songjiang Prefecture were established, and Jinze was led by Songjiang Prefecture.

In the first year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1573), Qingpu County system was established, and Jinze was under the jurisdiction of Qingpu County.

In 1743, there were four townships in Qingpu, namely Haizhong, Haihai, Huazhong and Huashang, and Jinze was the 42nd Baotou Township in Huashang.

In 1909, the county was divided into 16 autonomous cities and districts, and Jinze was one of them.

In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the system of autonomy was changed to the system of city and township, and Jinze was changed to township.

In 1929, the county was divided into 13 districts, and Jinze was the Fifth District.

In 1934, the county was divided into eight districts, and Jinze was the fourth district. During the Anti Japanese War, Jinze was the eighth district. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, Jinze was restored to the fourth district.

In February 1948, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. There were 27 townships in the county, with Jinze as the township.

In May 1949, Qingpu was liberated. There were one district, one city and ten joint offices in the county. Jinze was the second joint office.

In July 1949, the county was divided into eight districts, Jinze district.

In May 1957, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. There were 3 towns and 16 townships in the county, and Jinze township was set up.

In September 1958, the people's commune was established in Jinze.

In April 1984, the township system was restored in Jinze, but the commune management committee was still retained, the government and the commune were separated, and the township government exercised administrative powers.

In May 1986, Jinze was one of the first two towns in the suburbs.

In March 2004, with the approval of Shanghai Municipal People's government, Jinze Town, Shangta town and xicen town were abolished and a new Jinze town was established.

In 1743, Jinze belonged to the 42bao village of Huashang township. It governed Qiansheng, xicen, yangshe, Guanwang temple, shanxun and Shangta villages.

In 1929, Jinze was the Fifth District of Qingpu County, with jurisdiction over twelve townships of yangshe, Yaozhen, jinzegang, yangduo, Panjiawan, yujiabang, xiabugang, Xiwang, dongxitian, Nanwang, chijiagang, luotianbang and three towns of South Street, North Street and Changjie.

In 1934, Jinze, xicen and Shangta were merged into the fourth district (Jinze District), under which Jinze, xicen and Shangta towns, chenshe, Xizhuang, Yangtian, xuzhan, Tianbei, Liannan, lianbei, Qiangang, Lianxi, xuenan, gangma, Yuding, xiangtian, and thirteen townships were under the jurisdiction until the 36th year of the Republic of China.

In February 1948, Jinze was changed into a township, with Shangtang street, Xiatang street, Xunan street, Tianbei street, Xizhuang street and Yangtian street.

On May 11, 1949, Jinze was liberated, and a joint office was set up. In July, the district government was established, with jurisdiction over one town and seven townships, namely Jinze Town, Liannan Township, Yangtian Township, Qiansheng Township, xicen Township, lianbei Township, Tianbei Township and Xunan township.

In March 1950, Dianxi, Gangbei, Shimi and Shatian townships in Shangta district were divided into Jinze district. At that time, Jinze district had 92 administrative villages, including 1 town and 11 townships.

In August 1956, Dianxi, Gangbei, Shimi and Shatian in Jinze district were under the jurisdiction of Kunshan county,

In May 1957, the whole county withdrew the districts and merged the townships. Yangtian Township, Xunan Township, Dianhu fishermen's cooperative and Jinze town merged into Jinze township.

In 1958, Jinze established the people's commune. In February 1962, the scope of the commune was adjusted. Gongtan, Jiangdu, tianshanzhuang, chentianshe and xizhanggang were assigned to Xichen commune and Liansheng commune respectively. At that time, Jinze commune had 16 production teams, 105 production teams and 4 collectives.

In 1963, it was merged into eight brigades, namely Xu Li, Xinwang, Yangwan, Jinlian, Dongxi, Jianguo, Jinyao and yangshe.

In May 1986, Jinze county was built from township to village, and a new system of village management by township was implemented. In August, three neighborhood committees were set up: Shangtang street, Xiatang street and yuanyuanhua street. At that time, Jinze had jurisdiction over 9 villages and 3 neighborhood committees.

In May 2002, the administrative division was adjusted, and the original 9 administrative villages were removed and built into 7 administrative villages. The organizational system of Xulian village and Lihong village will be abolished and Xuli village will be built; the organizational system of Tuanjie village and yangduo village will be abolished and Yangwan village will be built.

By February 2004, Jinze town had seven villagers' committees, Xuli, Xinchi, Jinze, Yangwan, Dongxi, Jiantian and Jinyao, and two residents' committees, Jinxi and Jinyang.

In 2011, Jinze town had 30 villages including Xingang, Lianhu, Aiguo, Dongtian, Qiansheng, tianshanzhuang, rentun, Gongdu, Dianhu, cenbu, xicen, Santang, Yutian, Hezhu, Xuli, Xinchi, Jinze, Dongxi, Yangwan, Jianguo, Jinyao, caibang, Dongxing, Dianxi, Wanggang, shuangxiang, Shagang, Nanxin, Xuemi, Chendong, and xicen, Liansheng, Jinxi, Jinyang, Shangdong Tata and other 5 communities.

Jinze town is located in the southwest of Qingpu, bordering Jiangsu Province and Zhejiang Province. It is the only west entrance for Jiangsu Province and Zhejiang Province to enter Shanghai. Jinze town borders Zhujiajiao Town in the East, Liantang Town in the southeast, dingzha town and Dashun town in Jiashan County of Zhejiang Province in the southwest, and Xinta town in Wujiang City, Zhouzhuang Town and Jinxi town in Kunshan City in the northwest, with a total area of 108.42 square kilometers.

Jinze town's aquaculture products include crab, turtle, eel, shrimp and all kinds of freshwater fish. The ponds are also rich in wild crab, mandarin fish, seed shrimp, eel, turtle and other valuable aquatic products. There are 62 kinds of aquatic resources. It is an important aquatic supply base in Shanghai.

Population nationality

In 2003, there were 21213 households with a total population of 61362. In 2005, the total number of registered residence households was 21317 and 60817. There were 30138 males, 30679 females and 11948 elders over 60 years old. There are 23534 floating population in Shanghai, of which 6253 are permanent residents. In 2010, there were 24425 registered residence and 62929 people in Jin Ze town. Among them, 31052 were male, 31877 were female and 14352 were over 60 years old. The floating population in Shanghai is 20589.

The residents of Jinze town are mainly Han nationality, and the minorities are Mongolian and Li nationality.

The 318 national highway, the first national first-class highway in Shanghai, and the Huqingping expressway, which is partially open to traffic, run through the whole town.
