Located in the southeast of Baoshan District, it starts from Xisitang River in the East, ends at Gonghe new road in the west, ends at 128 Memorial Road in the south, and faces wenzaobang in the north. Zhangmiao street is a sub district office in Baoshan District of Shanghai. It is a new worker's village built in 1959 to cooperate with Shanghai Metallurgical, chemical and other industrial projects settled in Wusong Industrial Zone. Located in the southeast of Baoshan District, it starts from Xisitang River in the East, ends at Gonghe new road in the west, ends at 128 Memorial Road in the south, and faces wenzaobang in the north. It covers an area of 5.19 square kilometers. There are 124675 residents in 66199 households and 40 neighborhood committees. On May 8, 2006, the former Sitang new village street and Tonghe new village street in Baoshan District were merged to establish zhangmiao Street office. With an area of 5.19 square kilometers and a total population of about 172000, the office is located at No. 800, huma Road (the original office address of Tonghe new village sub district office).
Historical evolution
Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was a part of Miaohang Township in Dachang District and Jiangwan Township in JiangWan District. After liberation, Central Township was set up in zhangmiao area, belonging to JiangWan District. In 1956, Shanghai merged Dachang, Jiangwan and Wusong into the northern suburb, and the Central Township belongs to the northern suburb. In October 1958, the northern suburb was abolished, and the Central Township was under the jurisdiction of Baoshan county. Zhangmiao Road office was established in 1960, and zhangmiao road sub district office was established in 1962. In 1964, Wusong district was abolished and transferred to Yangpu District. In 1965, it was renamed Sitang new village sub district office. In 1980, it was assigned to Baosteel regional office. In 1981, Wusong district was established on the basis of Baosteel regional office and returned to Wusong district. Baoshan county and Wusong District belong to Baoshan District after "removing the second and building the first" in 1988. In the mid-1980s, a new residential area was set up in zhangmiao area. With the introduction of relocated residents in municipal construction, Tonghe Xincun street was set up in 1990 to the east of Aihui Road, Sitang Xincun street. In 2006, Sitang Xincun street and Tonghe Xincun street were merged to establish zhangmiao street. Built in 1959, zhangmiao street is as famous as Minhang street. The total width of the street is 50 meters. It used to be the broadest street in the city. Among them, the lane is 21 meters wide, with trees and flowers on both sides of the road. Along the street, there are shops on the ground floor and houses on the upper floor. From the 1960s to the 1980s, it received about 100000 Chinese and foreign distinguished guests from more than 100 countries and regions. Then vice president Song Qingling came to visit. On May 8, 2006, the former Sitang new village street and Tonghe new village street in Baoshan District were merged to establish zhangmiao Street office.
