Longshi Town, subordinate to Dazu District of Chongqing, is located in the southwest corner of Dazu District, bordering Zhuxi town in the East and south, Guchang town and Hebao town in Rongchang District in the southwest, Sanqu town and Baoxing town in the north, 25 kilometers away from the residence of Dazu District People's government, with a total area of 30.9 square kilometers.
In the Qing Dynasty, Longshi town belonged to jiashengli; in 1993, it was changed from Longshi town to Longshi town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Long Shi town was 22257. As of June 2020, Longshi town has one community and seven administrative villages, and the people's Government of Longshi town is located in the first group of Shima community.

History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to jiashengli. Shilongchang was built on February 11, 1902.
In 1936, Shilong township was established.
In December 1950, it was a New District 7.
In 1958, Shilong township was changed into Shilong commune.
In 1981, Shilong commune was renamed Qingshan commune.
In 1983, Qingshan commune was renamed Longshi commune.
In 1984, Longshi commune was changed into Longshi township.
In 1993, it was changed from Longshi township to Longshi town.
