Shangsuanzhen

Shangsuan town is located on the southeast Bank of Dianchi Lake in Kunming City, 14 km away from Kunyang street, where Jinning district government is located, and 46 km away from Kunming. The total land area of the town is 127.6 square kilometers, with a total cultivated area of 30000 mu. There are 15 village committees, 53 natural villages and 68 villager groups in the area. The total population is 34600, including 30700 in agriculture.

Evolution of organizational system

It got its name from its former residence in Shangsuan village. Shangsuanxiang (Duanqi area) belonged to Dabao County in Yuan Dynasty and Hexi township (part) and Yongning Township in Jinning in Qing Dynasty. In 1929, it was changed into the third and fourth districts. Later, it was changed into Hefeng, Gucheng and Diecui townships, and it was restored to Hexi and Yongning townships. In the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), it was changed into three townships, and soon it was restored to two townships. After 1950, it was changed into the second, third and fourth districts. In 1956, it was named Shangsuan (Zhuyuan Village). In September 1958, Shangsuan commune was established. It was changed to shangsuanxiang in March 1983. In May 1984, the township government moved from Shangsuan to general Shi. In 2009, Shangsuan Township changed from township to town.

historical origin

Shangsuan town has a good location advantage, a long history, outstanding people and abundant resources. As far back as the Paleolithic age in primitive society, there were people living here, engaged in simple farming, animal husbandry and fishery production. In 1956, the gold "seal of the king of Yunnan" unearthed in Shizhaishan for the second time is consistent with the historical evidence of the gold seal of the king of Yunnan given by the Han Emperor in historical records by Ma Qian. In 1999 and 2000, nearly 450 sets of underground objects with high historical research value were excavated at jinshashan peak and niuliandawan mountain, and many important cultural relics were unearthed, especially the excavation of "seal of the king of Yunnan" and Shizhaishan The unearthed bronze ornaments of bronze drum, copper tube, hulusheng, steel chime bell and duet, four person dance and eight person dance prove that the music and dance in Jinning area took shape as early as the Han Dynasty, and that Shangsuan is the birthplace of ancient Dian culture and the hometown of bronze culture. Nowadays, there are also preserved in Shangsuan the cliff stone carved generals of the late Tang Dynasty, the murals of the cliff Guanyin cave of the Yuan Dynasty, the seventh section of Dabao County of the Yuan Dynasty, the tuntian of the Ming Dynasty, and the beautiful talk of "three generations and four Hanlin" and "five Li and three adults" in the Qing Dynasty. There are abundant mineral resources in the territory, mainly including phosphorus, iron, silicon, basalt, limestone, marble, dolomite, clay and so on. The most advantageous phosphate rock reserves reach 15 million tons, with high grade, easy mining and convenient transportation. There are 10 phosphate ore enterprises in the township. It has formed the South and North Industrial Park with phosphorus chemical industry and building materials, and the private economic zone with the development of ecological tourism and ancient Yunnan culture. 17500 mu of vegetables were planted in the whole town, with a total yield of 24.5 million kg, forming a small melon and pod bean production base with Duanqi as the center, a green garlic production base with Xiaopu as the center, and a sweet pepper production base with Sanduo as the center; 2450 mu of oil crops were planted, with an annual output of 367000 kg of rapeseed, forming a double low yield rape planting belt with Kedi, Duanqi, hEPO and Shizhai as the main. 4000 mu of flowers have been planted, with a total output of 210 million fresh cut flowers.
