Tayuan town

Tayuan Town, belonging to the new forest region of Daxing'anling region in Heilongjiang Province, is located in the southernmost part of the new forest region, the source of Tahe River and the top of yilehuli mountain. It is connected with Xinlin town in the East, Songling District in the south, Huzhong District in the West and Hongtu town in the north. In 2018, the area was 1277.08 square kilometers, and the registered residence was 3610.

In 1958, Tayuan forest farm was built. In 1965, it belonged to Xinlin Forestry Company. In 1967, it was changed to Tayuan commune, belonging to the new forest area (Forestry Bureau). In 1970, it was changed to Tayuan forest farm. In April 1987, Tayuan town was set up, which is a forestry town integrating government and enterprise with forest farm.

In October 2019, Tayuan town has one community under its jurisdiction.

In 2018, Tayuan town has three comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Location context

Tayuan town is located in the southernmost part of the new forest area, the source of Tahe River and the top of yilehuli mountain. Tayuan town has a cold temperate monsoon climate. Cold is one of the main characteristics of regional climate. In winter, affected by Siberian high pressure, the temperature drops suddenly, which is extremely cold, with short day and long night, and more northwest wind; in summer, affected by marine monsoon, it is high temperature and rainy. The annual average temperature is - 2.1 ℃, the average temperature in January is - 26 ℃, and the average temperature in July is 18.3 ℃. The annual average frost free period is about 85 days. The annual average sunshine hours are 2342 hours. The annual average precipitation is 530 mm, mainly from July to August.

The rivers in Tayuan town belong to Huma River Basin. There are 11 rivers, including Tahe River, shanuoku River, xiaoku River and Dayin river. The total length of the rivers is 171.5km, and the river network density is 0.1km/km2. The largest river in the territory is the Tahe River, which runs through the whole territory from west to East, with a length of 24 kilometers. The main tributaries are the kale River, lugotahang River, and lu'erdatamo river.
