Evolution of wanpingcheng District Office
it was set up in 1991 and co operated with the office of Lugouqiao Cultural Tourism Zone in Beijing. In January 1992, it was officially opened to the public and the office was located at 88 North Street of Lugouqiao city. In 1996, it covers an area of 31.9 square kilometers and has a population of 15000. It has jurisdiction over 12 neighborhood committees in Wanping City, including Nanli 1 and Nanli 2, Dongguan 1 and Dongguan 2, Chengnei street, Chengnan street, Chengbei street, xiaoguozhuang, farm, Qiaoxi, farm and battery factory. In March 1999, the office moved to complex building 7, Chuihong street, xiaoyueyuan, Lugouqiao. along the Yongding River, the area is a narrow strip from northwest to Southeast, starting from xidaokou jujube garden in the East, bordering Lugouqiao street and Lugouqiao Township, to the north wall of the second water pump plant of dujiakan railway in the west, bordering Changxindian street and Changxindian town; to the North Paradise in the South, bordering Fangshan District and Daxing District; to Yingshan Park Manshui bridge in the north, facing Shijingshan District, covering an area of 31.53 square kilometers. In 2002, there were 29235 residents; in May, the 13 neighborhood committees were re divided into five communities: wanpingcheng, Chengnan, Chengbei, xiaoyueyuan and Laozhuangzi. On November 14, 2002, with the approval of the municipal government (No. 401 of Jingmin planning), Laozhuangzi township was incorporated into the regional office of Wanping City, with an area of 43.95 square kilometers and a population of 22300. It governs five communities of Laozhuangzi, xiaoyueyuan, Chengnan, Wanping City and Chengbei, and three administrative villages of Beitiantang, Laozhuangzi and yonghezhuang. at the end of 2006, it covers an area of 22.1 square kilometers and has a population of 40300. It governs six communities and three administrative villages. In 2010, the area under the jurisdiction of wanpingcheng regional office, east of Jingzhou highway, west of Jingshi Expressway, South to the second water pump plant and north to dujiakan Island, was assigned to Changxindian street. In 2002, it covers an area of 13.81 square kilometers and has a permanent population of 2266 in 973 households.
