Xiyu town

Xiyu Town, belonging to Xihe County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, is located in the northern suburb of Xihe county. It is adjacent to Shaoyu town and Xinglong Town in the East, Hanyuan town in the south, Wanxia Lake in the southwest, Jiangxi town in the west, Suhe Township in the West and Shibao town in the north, with a total area of 28.3 square kilometers.

After October 1949, Pingzhai township was set up in Xiyu town; in 2014, it was changed from Xiyu township to Xiyu town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Xi Yu town was 23576. As of June 2020, Xiyu town has one community and 16 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Xiaping village.

The main food crops in Xiyu town are wheat, corn and potato; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs and poultry. In 2018, Xiyu town has 4 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

After October 1949, Pingzhai township was established.

In December 1953, it was divided into Kongtong, Baique, Zhaizi, Xiyu and Zhangwang townships.

In October 1955, it was merged into Baique and Xiyu townships.

In August 1958, Baique and Xiyu communes were established.

In September 1958, it was incorporated into Xihe Branch.

In July 1960, Baique and Xiyu communes were restored.

In January 1962, the white sparrow commune was abolished.

In December 1965, Xiyu commune was merged into Chengguan commune.

In October 1983, Chengguan commune was abolished and Xiyu township was set up.

In 2014, Xiyu township was changed from township to town.

In 2011, Xiyu town governs a community of Yeda, and 16 administrative villages of Xiaping, Wanxia, Baique, Lushui, Wangmo, Nanliu, Kongtong, Yeda, Zhangzhuang, slope, Qiaobao, Shangping, Heba, Shangzhai, Xiazhai and Xiaodu.

As of June 2020, Xiyu town has one community and 16 administrative villages: Yeda community, Xiaodu village, Baique village, Wanxia village, Nanliu village, Lushui village, Wangmo village, Kongtong village, Yeda village, Potou village, Zhangzhuang village, Qiaobao village, Shangping village, Xiaping village, Heba village, Shangzhai village and Xiazhai village. The town people's government is stationed in Xiaping village.
